Most glazing work in Paharganj is inside a working hotel or guest house: a reception screen, a cabin behind the desk, or bathroom glass through a floor of rooms. The building is always partly occupied, so the job is organised around which rooms are free rather than around the building.
Doing a floor a few rooms at a time
A hotel cannot empty a floor for a fit-out, so the work follows the occupancy rather than the plan.\n\nWe take whichever rooms are free that week, finish them completely, and hand them back before starting the next.\n\nThat means measuring in batches too, since a room has to be measured before its glass is made. It takes longer overall than doing a floor at once and it keeps the rooms earning, which is the point.
A reception screen that works both ways
A reception counter needs to be open enough to talk across and closed enough to secure what is behind it.\n\nFull-height glass to the ceiling feels unwelcoming and makes conversation harder. An open counter secures nothing overnight.\n\nSo the usual answer is a glazed screen to about chest height with an open speaking gap, and a lockable shutter or panel that closes the gap when the desk is unmanned. We build the closing part in from the start, because adding it later never fits properly.
Fitting where the corridor is the only route
Corridors in these buildings are narrow, and they are also how guests reach their rooms while we work.\n\nSo materials cannot be laid out along the corridor, and cutting is done off site rather than on the floor.\n\nWe bring glass finished, carry it in one movement, and keep the corridor clear. Where a panel will not turn into a room doorway we say so at the survey and size it to fit the turn instead, rather than finding out with guests waiting to get past.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
