Offices here are typically a floor occupied by one small business, and the reception is the first thing anybody sees. So a good deal of the glass we fit is doing two jobs: dividing the space and carrying the company's name. Both need planning together, because the second one is usually decided too late.
Marking glass so people do not walk into it
A large clear panel is genuinely hard to see, and somebody eventually walks into it. That is why manifestation - a band, a pattern or a logo applied at eye height - exists.\n\nIt is a safety detail first and a branding opportunity second, and the two fit together neatly.\n\nSo we ask about the logo before the glass is ordered. A vinyl applied afterwards works. A design that was planned into the frosting, at the right height and the right density, looks considerably better and costs the same.
Getting the reception sightline right
In a small office the reception desk has to see the entrance, and very often the layout puts a partition between them.\n\nThe result is a visitor standing in a doorway with nobody aware they have arrived.\n\nSo we set out the partitions from the desk position rather than from the walls: sit where the receptionist will sit and check the door is visible. It takes a few minutes at survey and it is the most common thing we find wrong with a layout somebody else has drawn.
A meeting room on a main road floor
The meeting room is where the business is won and it is usually put on the road side, because that is where the good windows are.\n\nThat is exactly where traffic noise is worst, and a glass-walled meeting room facing a main road is a difficult place to hold a conversation.\n\nSo we would rather put the meeting room inside and glaze it well than put it on the elevation. Where it has to face the road, the external window needs the attention - the internal glass is not the problem.

- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
