Electronic City has some of the strictest fit-out rules we work with, and almost none of it is about the glass. The permit, the worker ID passes, the insurance letter and the material gate pass decide when your cabins are ready. Start them the day you approve the price and they cost you no time, because your glass is being made over the same days.
Running the paperwork alongside the glass
Four things must be in place before material can move. A work permit raised by you as the tenant. Our workers listed with photo ID. Proof of insurance. And a gate pass for the glass itself.
That takes a few working days to put together, which is also how long a made-to-size toughened panel (safety glass) takes to make. Doing them together is the trick.
We fill the paperwork in and you sign it, because the campus only accepts it from the tenant. Left until the glass is ready, it adds about a week to the job for no reason.
Building on a floor already in use
Material comes up in the approved time slot, usually overnight. We fit the panels, clean up, and hand the floor back before your team arrives.
One cabin is normally a single night. A run of eight or ten is split across several nights, so finished rooms come into use while we build the rest.
Partitions run full height to the ceiling grid, in toughened glass, with a frosted band at eye level on clear panels. Frosted means the glass is cloudy so you cannot see through that band. On a busy open floor that band helps people see the glass and not walk into it, and most campuses ask for it anyway. If you want your logo on it, we etch it into the glass while it is being made.
Why a whole floor is cheaper than a cabin at a time
Night work, lift slots and permits add real hours. Those hours are the same whether you build one cabin or ten.
A whole floor ordered as one project needs one permit, one delivery and one straight booking for our team. Six separate orders over a year need all three, six times, for exactly the same glass.
We show the glass, the fittings and the labour as separate lines on the written price. So you can see the difference instead of just trusting us.
How the job works

- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
