A great deal of the partition work around Knowledge Park is inside a college or institute, and those buildings run to a calendar nothing else does. The work has to happen in a vacation, be finished before term, and suit rooms that are used by large numbers of people at once. All three shape the job.
A programme fixed by the calendar
A vacation is a hard window: it does not move, and work that overruns it happens around students or not at all.\n\nSo the programme has to be built backwards from the date term starts, with the survey and the ordering done well before the vacation begins rather than in it.\n\nThat is the part most often left too late. Glass has a lead time, and a fit-out that starts on the first day of a vacation with nothing yet ordered has already lost two weeks of a four-week window.
Glazing in a room used by a hundred people
A lecture room or a lab is used by far more people at once than an office, and a glass partition in one is a barrier a crowd moves past.\n\nSo the specification is closer to a public building than an office: laminated rather than plain toughened where people can push against it, and manifestation at eye height that is genuinely visible.\n\nEdges matter too. Anywhere a crowd passes, an exposed glass edge should be protected in a channel rather than left free-standing, however well polished.
Labs, which have their own requirements
A lab partition has to cope with things an office one does not: chemicals in the air, surfaces washed down, and sometimes a requirement that a room be sealed from the corridor.\n\nSo the details change — no open channels or ledges to collect anything, stainless rather than plated fittings, and a properly sealed head rather than a partition stopping at a ceiling tile.\n\nWe ask what the room is for before quoting, because a lab quoted as an office is a partition that fails its first inspection.

- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
