Koramangala gives us most of our urgent repair calls. The reason is the restaurants. An office door that catches is just annoying. A restaurant door that will not shut on a Friday evening is a real problem. Most of these turn out to be the closing parts, not the glass. That is good news. It usually means we fix it on the first visit.
Same day for making it safe
If glass is broken, the first visit makes the place safe to use. We clear the loose glass, board or cover the opening, and you keep trading.
Then we make the new panel. Toughened glass (safety glass) is cut and drilled first, then toughened. Nothing can be done to it after that. So a made-to-size panel takes a few working days.
We would rather tell you this plainly at the first call than promise a next-day panel that does not exist.
Why the door is usually the problem
A restaurant or cafe door is opened hundreds of times a day. The floor spring (the part under the door that pulls it shut) wears out. It does not last forever. As it wears out, the door slams, drifts open, or will not shut.
Our van carries the common door closers, clamps and handles. So we finish most of these on the first visit.
Send a short video of the door moving before we come. It tells us more than words, and it means the right part is already on the van. If a part needs replacing, we fit one made for the weight of the door and how often it is used. We do not fit the lightest one that will just fit.
Keep a Koramangala entrance working through the repair
Tell us the first and last usable trading hour, how the premises can be secured, and whether another entrance exists. We then separate a same-visit hardware repair from a glass replacement that needs fabrication. A door closer, alignment fault, handle or lock may be completed without removing the panel. Broken made-to-size glass is cleared and temporarily covered before the new panel is produced.
The final check covers closing speed, latch, lock and floor clearance. Staff should not need to catch the door, lift it or learn a special push. Planning the secure period and the handover is part of the repair, not an extra left to the business after the team departs.
Sliding door rollers and tracks for Koramangala restaurants and flats
A sliding door in a restaurant works as hard as the front door. Its rollers, the small wheels under it, wear out first. After that the door drags on the track and scratches it. New rollers on a scratched track soon wear out again.
We lift the door out, fit rollers matched to its weight, and smooth the track. We also reset the guides at the top. Guides are the small blocks that stop the door jumping out of its channel. Near Sony World Junction and on 80 Feet Road, we work outside your opening hours.
In the flats above the shops we repair an aluminium window that sticks and a uPVC handle that spins. A mosquito net for those windows is measured on the same visit. The mesh sits in its own frame and lifts out for cleaning.
