Behind and above the shops, Koramangala is still a place where people live. The bathrooms here are old. So almost every job is a replacement. Two questions come before any price. Does it really need replacing? And do your walls suit frameless glass or a slim frame? Frameless means glass with no metal frame around it. We answer both at the measuring visit.
Repair or replace, answered honestly
If the glass is fine and only the hinges, seals or handle have gone, that is a real repair. It costs much less than a new enclosure. We will tell you that instead of selling you the bigger job.
If the frame has rusted, the seals have gone hard, and the silicone has failed behind the tiles, that is what fifteen or twenty years looks like. Fixing only one of those three lasts a few months. Then you pay for the visit twice.
Send a photo of the door edge and the bottom track. That usually tells us which one you have before anyone travels.
Which style your walls actually suit
In a bathroom that has just been re-tiled, frameless is right and looks better.
In an old bathroom in a building twenty years old, the walls have usually moved a few millimetres. Frameless glass has almost no room to take up that gap. So a gap shows along the edge, and the door may need packing. A slim aluminium frame takes up that gap inside its channel.
We check your walls with a level at the visit. We do not decide over the phone. It takes two minutes. It is the difference between a clean edge and a gap you can see.
