A very large part of BTM housing is rented, not owned. That changes the first talk. Before anything is made, we need to know who agreed to the work. This is not just paperwork. A toughened panel cut to your opening cannot be returned, resold or cut down. If there is a fight later, someone is left holding glass that fits one bathroom in the whole city.
If you rent, get it in writing
If you are the tenant, get the owner's yes in writing before we order. It takes one message. It removes the only real risk in this job.
If you are the owner and someone lives in the flat, tell us. We will work around them. We cover the floors, put up sheets around the work area, and take the old enclosure away the same day.
Once that is sorted, a rented flat is like any other job. The glass, the fittings and the sealing are the same as in a flat someone owns.
The lane and the stairs, together
Two things limit us here, and they add up. The lane decides how close the van can get. The staircase decides how big a panel can travel once it is out of the van.
So we ask which lane and which floor on the first call. We measure the staircase turn when we measure the bathroom.
We deliver early, before the lanes fill and before people are trying to get out. We stop as close as we safely can, unload at once, move off, and carry the panels in by hand.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
