Almost no building in KR Puram has a service lift. So we carry every panel up by hand, around a tight turn. This is the one measurement people never think of. Here it matters more than the size of the bathroom. Tell us which floor you are on when you first call. A third floor and a ground floor are very different jobs.
The staircase sets the panel size
We measure the turn on the same visit as the bathroom. A half landing with a tight turn will stop a panel that fits your opening perfectly well.
Where a panel will not turn the corner, we make the job as two panels joined together, not one. From a few feet away you cannot see the join.
We will not force a toughened panel round a corner. Toughened glass is safety glass. When it breaks, it breaks fully into small pieces. And a made-to-size panel cannot be replaced from stock. Better to plan for two panels than lose one on your landing.
Working in a house people live in
This is different from an empty flat. It changes how the day runs, not what it costs.
We cover the floors and put up sheets around the work area, so dust does not go through the house. The old enclosure leaves with us the same day.
Silicone is the sealing glue. It needs time to dry before you use a new shower. We would rather tell you this plainly. A single bathroom takes half a day to a day, then about a day to dry. If it is your only bathroom, we fit in the morning so the drying time falls overnight.
How the job works

- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
