The houses across 1st to 6th Block were built when a bathroom needed a tap and a drain and nothing else. The rooms are narrow, often just over a metre across the wet end. That does not stop you having an enclosure. It does decide which kind you should have.
A door needs room to swing, a panel does not
In a small bathroom the hinged door is usually the problem, not the glass.
A hinged shower door needs clear floor in front of it. If it hits the washbasin or the room door itself, the enclosure becomes annoying to use within a week.
So in these rooms we usually suggest one of two things. A single fixed panel with a walk-in gap, which has nothing to swing at all. Or a slider, where the panel slides along the opening instead of out into the room. We measure the swing at the visit and show you what actually clears.
Getting glass up a walk-up
Most of these blocks are three or four floors with no lift. The stair turns back on itself at each landing.
We measure that turn before we make anything. A tall panel that clears the bathroom may still not clear the landing. Finding that out on delivery day helps nobody.
Where the turn is too tight, we split the run, or lower the panel height and make it up with a fixed section. Both are normal here. Neither looks like a compromise once it is in.

- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
