The houses around Chikkalasandra and Subramanyapura were built plot by plot over many years, and almost none have a lift. So the most useful thing you can tell us on the first call is which floor you are on. Here the staircase, not the bathroom, decides how big a piece of glass we can use.
How wide a panel your stairs will take
We carry every panel up by hand, usually around a tight turn at each half landing. We measure that turn on the same visit as the bathroom.
Where a single panel will not make it, we make the job as two panels joined together. From a few feet away you cannot see the join.
We will not force a toughened panel around a corner. Toughened glass is safety glass. When it breaks, it breaks fully, and a made-to-size panel cannot be replaced from stock. Planning for two panels is far cheaper than losing one on the landing.
Plot by plot, so the answer changes by house
These houses went up across many different years, so the right system changes house by house, not by street.
A recently re-tiled bathroom suits frameless and looks better for it. An older one has usually settled a few millimetres, and a slim aluminium frame takes that up inside its channel.
We check with a level at the measuring visit. It takes two minutes, and it is the difference between a clean edge and a gap you can see from the doorway.
