The seals a shower door carries, and which one is leaking
The bottom sweep does most of the work. It closes the gap under the door and wipes the edge of the shower floor. When it hardens or its lip tears, water runs straight out under the door. A puddle along the door's bottom edge points here.
The closing-edge strip seals the gap where the door meets the fixed panel or the wall. When it hardens, it leaves a slot that spray comes through. A wet line on the floor in front of the closing edge points here.
Magnetic strips, on doors that click shut, both seal the door and hold it. When they age, the door neither seals nor stays shut.

Why strong bathroom cleaners wear seals out early
The strips are clear PVC. Two things age them: hot water, which cannot be avoided, and strong cleaning chemicals, which can.
Acid-based tile cleaners and undiluted bleach attack PVC directly. The strip yellows, then stiffens, then cracks along the fold where it flexes. Strips in bathrooms cleaned often with strong acid wear out sooner.
You do not have to live with dirty glass. Neutral bathroom cleaners remove soap film without harming the PVC. After a reseal, we tell you which cleaners to avoid.
The reseal visit
The old strips come off, and we clean scale and residue from the door edge. On the bottom edge, that crust stops a new sweep sitting straight, so the cleaning matters.
We cut new strips from fresh rolls to your door's exact width and height. The strips come in shapes for different gap sizes and glass thicknesses. We match them to 8mm, 10mm and 12mm shower glass.
Before fitting, we check why the gap is the size it is. A door sagging on worn hinges has a wedge-shaped gap that no straight strip can seal. If that is your door, we level it first, or tell you what it needs.
What resealing costs
A full reseal of one door, bottom sweep and closing strips, starts at ₹808 fitted. A magnetic closing pair is priced as its own part, when the door uses one.
A second door, or the strips on the fixed panels, add a little on the same visit. The strips themselves are not expensive, so doing every strip in the bathroom at once is sensible.
The strips press on without glue, so you can use the shower the same day. If we have also used silicone anywhere, it needs about 24 hours before the shower is used.
