Bathrooms in the Ballabgarh sectors are usually a fair age, so most of this work is replacing something rather than fitting the first one. The other thing that comes up in every conversation here is hard water, because it decides how the glass looks after a year and what it takes to keep it clear.
What hard water does to shower glass
Hard water leaves dissolved minerals behind when a droplet dries. On tile it wipes off. On glass it builds into a haze that gradually etches into the surface.\n\nOnce it has etched, no cleaner brings it back - the glass itself has changed, and it has to be replaced.\n\nThe two things that work are a coated glass, which makes the surface far less willing to hold a droplet, and wiping the panel down after use. The coating is an option we quote separately. It is worth it here, and we would rather explain it than have you find out in a year.
Taking out an old enclosure without damaging the tile
The tile behind an old screen is usually still good, and most people want to keep it.\n\nThe risk is in the removal. Old silicone has bonded to the glaze, and pulling a frame off in one go takes tile with it.\n\nSo the seal gets cut along its length first and the frame comes away in pieces, not as a unit. Then the residue is scraped back with a plastic blade rather than steel. It is slower and it is why the tile survives.
Fixing into a wall that has already been drilled
A replacement enclosure rarely lands on exactly the same fixing points as the one before it.\n\nDrilling a new hole next to an old one is the weakest thing you can do, because the material between them breaks out and neither hole holds.\n\nSo we set out the new fixings away from the old ones where we can, and where we cannot, the old holes are filled with a resin anchor and left to cure before anything is fixed. That adds a wait to the day and it is why the new enclosure stays where we put it.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
