Parklands holds three quite different kinds of home on one estate, and people assume an enclosure is the same job in all of them. It is not. A villa bathroom, a builder floor and a tower flat each have different access, different bathroom sizes and different rules about when work can happen.
Three kinds of home, three different jobs
In a villa we can usually park close, carry glass in level and work without booking anything.\n\nIn a builder floor the glass goes up a common staircase, and the size of panel that can turn the half-landing sets the design.\n\nIn a tower it is the service lift and the society's working hours. Same enclosure, three different plans - which is why we ask which kind of home it is when you call, before quoting anything.
Estate access for a materials delivery
On a gated estate a van carrying glass needs to get to the door, and that usually means arranging entry in advance rather than at the gate.\n\nGlass cannot be left at a gate and carried in later; it is heavy, awkward and easily damaged.\n\nSo we ask you to arrange gate entry for the fitting date when it is booked. It sounds trivial and it is the single most common reason a fitting day starts an hour late.
Matching what is already in the estate
Where several bathrooms in one home are being done, or where an enclosure is being replaced to match others, consistency matters more than specification.\n\nHardware finishes and glass tints vary between suppliers, and something bought separately two years apart rarely matches.\n\nSo if you are matching an existing enclosure, we would rather see it than work from a description. A photograph of the hinge and the handle usually tells us what we need to know before anything is ordered.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
