Nearly every enclosure is one of three shapes, and most people are shown pictures rather than told what each needs. The right one is decided by the room rather than by preference, and the differences are easy enough to set out before anybody looks at a catalogue.
The corner cubicle, and what it needs
A corner enclosure uses two walls and closes the other two sides with glass, usually with a door.\n\nIt contains water best of the three, and it needs a genuine corner with enough floor left over to stand in once the glass is in.\n\nIn a bathroom under a certain size it takes so much of the room that everything else becomes awkward. So it suits a medium or large bathroom with a usable corner, and it is the wrong answer in a narrow one however good it looks.
The straight screen across the end
A single panel across the end of the room, with a walk-in opening beside it, uses the full width as the shower.\n\nIt suits a long narrow bathroom exactly, has nothing to swing and nothing to wear out, and it is usually the cheapest of the three.\n\nWhat it does not do is contain water as completely as a cubicle, so it needs the shower head pointing away from the opening and enough depth that spray does not reach it. In the right room it is the best answer available.
The walk-in with no door
A walk-in is a fixed screen with an open entry and no door at all, and it depends entirely on depth: the entry has to be far enough from the shower head that water never reaches it.\n\nWhere the room has that depth it is excellent — nothing to open, nothing to wear out, nothing to clean but the glass.\n\nWhere it does not, water reaches the opening and the floor beyond it stays wet. So we measure the depth before suggesting it rather than after, because it is the layout most often chosen for looks and regretted.

- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
