These sectors went up together and a handful of layouts repeat across a great many towers. That is genuinely useful: we have measured these bathrooms before, we know which ones take frameless and which do not, and we can usually tell you the likely answer before we arrive.
Knowing the layout before the survey
Where the same bathroom repeats across a sector, we know in advance what is likely: the usual opening width, where the drain sits, and whether the corner is generally square.\n\nSo a phone conversation here is more useful than almost anywhere else — we can say which layouts normally suit your flat type.\n\nWe still measure, because flats built to one drawing vary by a few millimetres and occasionally more. But you can have a realistic idea of the options and the likely cost before anybody visits, which is unusual.
Why we still measure every one
Flats that match on the drawing are usually within a few millimetres and sometimes are not, and a wall out by a centimetre is invisible until frameless glass is offered up to it.\n\nMore importantly, what previous owners have done varies completely.\n\nOne flat has original tiling and the next has been redone twice with the floor raised and the fall flattened. The building repeats; the flats do not, and that is the part a phone call cannot cover.
Doing several flats together
Because the layouts repeat, neighbours frequently want the same thing, and doing several together is substantially cheaper.\n\nThe design happens once, the glass is cut in one batch, and travel and setting up are shared.\n\nWe still measure each bathroom individually and price each separately. But everything after the measuring is shared, and in a sector where the same flat repeats across a tower it is the largest saving available to anybody who asks their neighbours.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
