Most shower work in Whitefield is a first fitting, in a flat handed over in the last few years. The walls are straight. This makes frameless both the better looking and the easier choice. The part that needs planning is not the bathroom. It is the service lift, and the association hours around it.
The lift decides the panel size
A service lift has a fixed inside size. A panel that will not go into it will not go up the fire stairs either. And toughened glass cannot be trimmed on site to make it fit.
So we measure the lift on the same visit as the bathroom. When one panel is too big to go up, we make the enclosure as two panels joined with a glass connector. That is normal, and hard to see from a few feet away.
Give us the tower name at the first call. One call to the facility desk tells us the lift size and the working hours. That is enough to plan the job well, instead of finding out on delivery day.
New walls, and what that changes
In an older bathroom we often suggest a slim aluminium frame, because the channel hides walls that have gone out of straight. In a tower handed over in the last few years, that problem mostly does not come up.
So frameless is the easy choice here. We pick the glass thickness to suit the size of the panels. Hinges are glass to glass or wall to glass, with a good seal along the closing edge and bathroom silicone around the joins.
We still check with a level. A wall that looks straight and a wall that is straight are not always the same, and it takes two minutes to find out.
Do every bathroom in one order
Three enclosures ordered together share one measuring visit, one delivery and one booking for our team. Ordered one at a time, they carry three of each.
Those fixed costs are what push a small job to the top of the range. So this is the biggest saving on this kind of work, and it is not a discount.
The one thing we cannot do early is measure. That waits until the tiling is finished. The finished tile face is the size we cut to, and toughened glass cannot be trimmed afterwards.

- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
