Most flats here are handed over and fitted out immediately, and developers usually allow interior work only for a defined period after possession, with rules about hours, lifts and debris. That window is the real constraint on this job, and it is worth planning the whole fit-out around it rather than discovering it halfway.
Working inside a developer's fit-out period
After handover most developers allow a set period for interior work, with registered contractors, permitted hours and a debris deposit.\n\nOnce that period closes, getting approval for anything noisy becomes considerably harder.\n\nSo the enclosure should be measured early and fitted within it rather than left until last. We ask what your society's window is at the survey, because a shower enclosure that misses it can end up waiting months for permission.
Fitting glass before the flat is furnished
An empty flat is by far the easiest place to fit an enclosure: clear access, nothing to protect, and room to handle a panel safely.\n\nOnce furniture arrives, the same job takes longer and carries more risk to your things than to the glass.\n\nSo where the flat is still empty, this is the moment. It is also the only time the layout can genuinely be reconsidered, because nothing has been plumbed in around a decision yet.
Debris, deposits and taking the waste away
Societies here commonly hold a deposit against debris and damage during fit-out, and it is returned only if the common areas are left clean.\n\nGlass packaging and offcuts are bulky, and they are exactly the sort of thing that gets left in a service lobby.\n\nSo we take all of it away the same day rather than leaving it for your building's staff. It is part of what we quote, and on a fit-out deposit it is worth more than it costs.
