The towers along Hennur Main Road and Thanisandra Main Road are still filling up. So most of our work here is in flats nobody has lived in yet. That is the best time to do it. But there is one thing to watch. Nothing behind the tiles has been tested yet.
What is behind a new bathroom wall
In a new flat the builder ran the pipes and then tiled over them. You cannot see them, and neither can we.
So before we drill, we check. We keep the fixing line away from the likely pipe runs above and below the mixer. Where we have any doubt, we scan the wall instead of guessing.
This is not being careful for no reason. A drill through a hidden pipe means a wet ceiling in the flat below yours. That is a very costly mistake to put right.
Empty is easier, in every way
There is nothing to move, nothing for the tile dust to land on, and nobody waiting to use the shower.
That last point matters most. Silicone needs a clear day or two to dry before it gets wet, and in an empty flat it simply gets it.
We still measure your bathroom, not work from the floor plan. Tiling is done one flat at a time. So two rooms built to the same drawing often differ by a centimetre once the tiles are on.
Working in a building still being handed over
Most of these towers are still with the builder or a facility team. They will want a work permit and a service lift slot.
Tell us the tower and the floor when you first call. We can give you the team names, the vehicle number and the material list to raise the request with.
We also ask what the allowed hours are. Some buildings here stop drilling at six. Knowing that beforehand is the difference between finishing and coming back.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
