This is the most urgent repair work we do. A shop or restaurant entrance on Brigade Road or Church Street cannot be out of action during trading. So almost everything here is either made safe at once, or fixed before you open. Most of it turns out to be the closing parts, not the glass. That is why it usually takes one visit.
Same day for making it safe
If glass is broken, the first visit clears it and covers the opening. Then you can keep trading, and the footpath stays safe.
Then we make the new panel. Toughened glass (safety glass) is cut and drilled before it is made, and nothing can be done to it after. So a made-to-size panel takes a few working days.
We would rather tell you this plainly at the first call than promise a next-day panel that does not exist.
Floor springs, and why they fail here
A door on this stretch is opened hundreds of times a day. The floor spring (the part under the door that pulls it shut) wears out. It does not last forever, and in the end it stops working or starts to leak oil.
You notice it as slamming, drifting open, catching on the floor, or a door that will not lock. Changing one is usually a two to three hour visit, and our van carries the common parts, clamps and handles.
Send a short video of the door moving before we come. It tells us more than words, and it means the right part is already on the van.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
