The repair work here is not unusual on its own. The setting is. A consulting room with patients in the corridor. Or a bungalow with a floor somebody has just had restored. So how we work matters as much as the part we fit. Matching what is already there matters more than in a new building.
Matching a finish that is no longer sold
A hinge or handle may fail on an enclosure fitted years ago. The old finish may not be on sale any more.
We match how the part works and get as close as we can on the finish. Where the new part will not look the same, we say so plainly. On a black or brushed set, it is good to know this before we fit, not after.
If matching matters more than cost, changing the pair usually looks better than changing only the one failed part. We will say so, not fit one that stands out.
Working without leaving a mark
We cover floors and sheet off the work area before we open anything up. Tile dust spreads, and old wooden floors do not forgive it.
We drill tile with the correct bit at low speed. We set the fixing points away from tile edges where we can. If a tile is already loose or hollow behind, we point that out before we drill, not after.
The old glass or fittings leave with us the same day. We do not leave anything in a corridor or a garden for somebody else to clear.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
