Ulsoor gives us the widest mix of repair work of anywhere we cover. The buildings are old and the uses are mixed. A shower enclosure rusted through in a flat. A showroom door on the main road that has started to slam. A cracked railing panel in a house that has been added to twice. We measure, make and fit all of it the same way.
Railings and old window glass
The houses here bring work that flats do not. Stair railing panels, fixed screens at an entrance, and window glass broken by weather or a knock.
A chipped or cracked toughened panel is worth replacing, not watching. Damage to the edge takes away the strength that toughening gives the glass. Toughened glass does not crack slowly. When it breaks, it breaks completely.
On a stair railing in an old house, that is not a risk worth taking. When we replace glass, we take the old panel away. If we cannot fit the same day, we make the opening safe on the first visit.
Shop and showroom doors on the main road
A door on Ulsoor Main Road is opened hundreds of times a day. The floor spring that controls it wears out.
When it starts to slam, drift open or catch on the floor, that is the part, not the glass. Changing one is usually a two to three hour visit. Our van carries the common closers, clamps and handles.
We work before you open or after you close. If a part must be replaced, we fit one made for the weight of the door and the use it gets. Not the lightest one that will go on.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
