Most of Hoodi and Brookefield went up inside the same few years. So the fittings in it are all wearing out inside the same few years too. That is why our repair calls from here come in groups: door closers on offices of a certain age, shower hinges in towers of a certain age. It is easy to predict. And what you can predict is cheap to fix, if you catch it early.
Catching it before it becomes a replacement
A door closer that has started to leak oil still works, badly, for months before it stops. A shower hinge that has started to rust still holds the door, until it does not.
Both are cheap parts while the rest is still sound. Once the glass has dropped and chipped an edge, or the silicone has failed behind the tiles, you are buying the whole thing.
So if a door is slamming or a shower door is dragging, send a photo now, not in six months. We will tell you honestly if it can wait.
What we bring on the first visit
Our van carries the common door closers, hinges, clamps, rollers and handles. So we finish most repairs here the first time we come.
We do this on purpose. A second trip for a part costs you another day and another gate pass.
Send a photo. For anything that moves, send a short video. That usually tells us the fault before anyone travels. If a less common part is needed, we quote it and come back once it arrives, usually within a few working days.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
