Many parts of Bengaluru run on borewell or tanker water, and it is hard. It leaves white scale on a spa shower door and on the metal fittings. The scale stiffens the hinges and hardens the seals. We change those parts. We also suggest wiping the glass dry each evening.
Rain comes from June to September, and again in October and November. A street-facing salon door then takes mud and grit at its base. Grit wears the floor spring, the closer set in the floor under the door. The main roads are dusty too, so a door that shuts fully matters. Damp months can also spot a mirror at its edges. So we seal the edges of any mirror near a wash area.
