A gym is hard on glass and doors. The front door opens all day and takes hard use. Mirrors cover whole walls. Shower room doors stay wet for hours. The windows must open, because a full room needs fresh air.

Fabrockers looks after all of this in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR. Our own team does the visit and the work. You get a written price before any work starts. We can work in the quiet middle of the day, or at night.

The work we do for gyms

Grouped by where it is on your premises. Each job shows its live starting price.

The gym's wall mirrors

A gym mirror wall is made of several panels, each made to the size of your wall. We measure the wall, and the panels are made to sit side by side. How we fix them depends on the wall. If one panel cracks, we replace that panel only.

The gym's front glass door

A gym door is pushed open all day, often by someone carrying a bag. In time the door drops, scrapes the floor or stops short of closing. We set the door straight again. If the floor spring is worn, we change it. A floor spring is a closer set in a metal box under the door.

Stoppers and locks on gym and studio doors

A glass door that swings too far can hit a mirror or a machine. A door stopper fixed to the floor or the wall ends that. We also change the lock on a glass door that no longer holds. Tell us what stands behind the door, and we place the stopper to suit.

Cracked glass on the gym floor

A cracked glass door or partition should not stay in use. We make it safe the same day. New toughened glass, which is safety glass, cannot be cut after it is made. So it is made to your measured size, and that takes a few days. We also refix a pane that has come loose in its frame.

The gym's changing room and shower doors

Shower room doors in a gym are used many times a day and rarely dry out. Hinges loosen, and the door drops. Seals along the door edge go hard, and water runs onto the floor. Sliding shower doors drag when their rollers wear. We change these parts and keep the glass.

Gym windows that must open

A workout room needs moving air, so a stuck window matters more here. Sliding windows usually stick because the rollers under the sash are worn. The sash is the part of the window that moves. We change the rollers, clean the track and fix a window that will not close fully.

Mosquito mesh for a gym's open windows

Evening classes are when the windows most need to be open. That is also when mosquitoes come in. We fit mosquito mesh on the windows, so they can stay open after dark. We also replace mesh that is torn or has come off its frame.

Studio sliding doors, tracks and glass railings

Some studios open onto a terrace through a sliding glass door. Dust collects in the track, and the door gets heavy to move. We clean or repair the track and reset the door. On a mezzanine or a stair, we tighten a loose glass railing and change worn clamps.

Working around a gym's opening hours

A gym is usually busy early in the morning and again in the evening. The middle of the day is quieter, so that is a good time for us. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm. You can also ask for night or Sunday work. A mirror wall is often best done at night, when the room is empty. A small repair, like a closer or a handle, is usually one visit. Most larger jobs are done in 3 to 4 days, because the glass is made to size.

Getting large mirrors and glass up to the gym

Many gyms are on an upper floor, reached by a stair or a small lift. A large mirror or glass panel may not fit in that lift. So tell us the floor when you first ask. Tell us also how wide the stair is, and whether it turns. We plan the panel sizes around the way in. A mirror wall made of several narrower panels is easier to carry up. We measure on site before anything is made.

What to send us about a gym repair

Send a photo or a short video on WhatsApp. We can usually tell from it what the job needs. For a mirror, send a photo of the whole wall, with its rough width and height. For a door, film it closing, so we can see where it drops or sticks. For a shower door, show the hinge side and the bottom seal. We then give you a written price. Nothing is due until you approve it.

What we do not do in a gym

We do not do new carpentry, welding, tiling, plumbing or electrical work. We do not fit or service automatic sensor doors or rolling shutters. We do not lay gym flooring or repair equipment. We do fit new aluminium and uPVC windows, new glass railings and glass partitions, and those have their own pages. Everything on this page is done by our own team. We do not pass work to subcontractors.

Questions gyms ask us

Can you replace one cracked panel in a gym mirror wall?

Yes, usually. A mirror wall is made of separate panels, so one panel can come out alone. If pieces are loose, we make the panel safe first. We measure the gap, and the new panel is made to that size. How we fix it depends on the wall.

How do large gym mirrors get up to an upper floor?

We carry them up the stair, or use the lift if the panel fits. So we need to know the floor, the stair width and the lift size. We then choose panel widths that can make the turn. The wall still looks like one mirror, with thin joins between the panels.

Can you work in a gym at night or in the middle of the day?

Yes. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, and midday is usually a gym's quiet time. Gyms and studios can also ask for night or Sunday work. Tell us when your last class ends, and we plan the visit around it.

Why does our gym's glass door not close fully any more?

Usually the door has dropped on its fittings, or the floor spring is worn. A floor spring is the closer set in the floor under the door. Send us a short video of the door closing. We can usually tell which it is, and then give you a written price.

The shower doors in our gym changing room are white with scale. Can that be fixed?

Hard water leaves white scale as it dries, and gym showers run for hours. Scale on the glass can usually be cleaned off. Scale inside hinges and rollers makes them stiff, and those we change. We also replace seals that have gone hard. Wiping the glass dry slows the marks.

Can a yoga or dance studio have mosquito mesh and still open its windows?

Yes. The mesh sits in its own frame, and the window still opens behind it. Which type of mesh suits depends on how your windows open. Send us a photo of one window, open and closed. We measure on site and give you a written price first.
