A restaurant has more moving glass and metal than most premises. The front door opens all day. Kitchen doors swing with every order. Sliding doors lead to the outdoor tables. When one of them fails, your guests notice it at once.

Our own Fabrockers team repairs all of these in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR. The same work suits cafes, bars, bakeries, sweet shops and cloud kitchens. We can come before you open or after you close. You get a written price before any work starts.

The work we do for restaurants

Grouped by where it is on your premises. Each job shows its live starting price.

The restaurant's front glass door

Guests and delivery riders push this door all day. The floor spring wears first. A floor spring is a closer set in a metal box in the floor under the door. Then the door slams, stays open or drags on the floor. We change the worn part, the lock or the edge rubber, and set the door to close softly.

Cracked restaurant front glass and glass between dining sections

A cracked pane beside the tables is a risk to your guests. We make broken glass safe the same day. The new pane is toughened glass, which is safety glass. It cannot be cut after toughening, so it is made to your measured size. That usually takes a few days.

Kitchen swing doors and wash room doors in a restaurant

Staff push a kitchen door with a tray, a foot or a shoulder. So its hinges loosen and the door starts to stick. Wash room doors lose their handles, latches and closers. We repair aluminium doors in full. On a wooden door we change the hardware and set the alignment, but we do no new carpentry.

Sliding and folding doors to a restaurant's outdoor seating

These doors run on small rollers in a floor track. Food, grit and rain water collect in that track. Then the door drags, jumps or will not lock. We clean and repair the track, change the rollers and set the panels straight. A roller change is usually done in one visit.

Dining room windows that leak near the tables

Rain gets in where the old sealant or rubber has failed. A wet table by the window is a table you cannot seat. We find where the water enters, then reseal the frame or close the gap. We also repair a window that will not shut fully.

Fly and mosquito mesh for restaurant kitchen windows and doors

A kitchen needs its windows open for air, and flies follow the smell of food. We fit mesh to the kitchen windows, in a frame made to each opening. A sliding mesh door suits a back door that stays open. Torn mesh can usually be changed without a new frame.

Counter glass, sneeze screens, mirrors and shelves for cafes and bakeries

A bakery or a sweet shop sells from behind glass. We make counter glass, sneeze screens, display shelves and mirrors to your measured size. A sneeze screen is a glass panel between the food and the guest. Send the length and the height, and tell us where the glass will sit.

Glass railings on a restaurant's terrace or mezzanine seating

Guests lean on a railing, and children pull at it. A loose panel or a worn clamp must not be left. A clamp is the metal fitting that grips the glass. We tighten or change the clamps, and we replace a cracked panel. We also fit new glass railings.

Working around a restaurant's service hours

Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm. A restaurant cannot always stop in those hours, so ask us for another time. We can work early in the morning, before the kitchen starts. We can also work at night after the last guest leaves, or on a Sunday. Tell us your opening and closing times when you enquire. Many small repairs, like a closer, a handle or a roller, take one visit. Larger jobs are usually finished in 3 to 4 days. New glass takes a few days to make, and we agree the fitting time with you.

What a restaurant owner should send us first

Send a photo or a short video on WhatsApp. We can usually tell what the job needs from that. For a door, film it closing from the inside. Show the top corner and the floor under the door. For broken glass, stand back so the whole pane is in the picture. For a leak, show the inside of the window after rain. Tell us which floor your restaurant is on as well. Large glass may need to go up a stair, and we plan for that. Our own team then visits, measures and gives you a written price. Nothing is due until you approve it.

Safety glass where your guests sit and walk

Guests, children and staff with trays all move close to your glass. So every pane we fit in a dining room is toughened glass. Toughened glass is safety glass. If it breaks, it falls into small blunt pieces, not long sharp ones. It cannot be cut after toughening. So we measure first, and the glass is made to that size. That is why a new pane takes a few days. Until it arrives, we make the broken pane safe on the first day. Please keep guests away from cracked glass until we come.

What we do not repair in a restaurant

We want you to call the right people the first time. We do not repair rolling shutters, and we do no welding. We do not do plumbing, electrical work, tiling or signage. We do not service automatic sensor doors or fire-rated doors. On wooden doors we change hardware and set the alignment, but we do no new carpentry. What we do cover is wide. It includes glass doors, aluminium and uPVC doors and windows, sliding doors, mesh, glass railings and made-to-size glass. We also fit new glass shop fronts and glass partitions, which have their own pages.

Questions restaurants ask us

Can you repair our restaurant's front door before we open for lunch?

Usually, yes. A closer or floor spring change is often one visit. Ask for an early morning slot when you enquire. Send a video of the door closing first. Then we usually know which part to bring. If the part must be ordered, we tell you the day.

The glass beside our cafe tables has cracked. Can guests still sit there?

Please move those tables away until we have seen it. We make broken glass safe the same day. The new pane is toughened safety glass, made to the measured size. That takes a few days. We then fit it before you open or after you close.

Do you fit fly and mosquito mesh to a restaurant kitchen?

Yes. We fit framed mesh to kitchen windows, and a sliding mesh door at the back door. Each frame is made to its opening. The kitchen keeps its air, and insects stay outside. We can also change torn mesh in a frame you already have, if the frame is sound.

Our restaurant's sliding door to the outdoor seating is hard to push. What is wrong?

Usually the rollers under the door are worn, or the track is full of grit. Sometimes the track itself is bent. Send a photo of the bottom of the door and the track. A roller change is usually one visit. A damaged track takes longer, and we tell you after the visit.

Can you make a glass sneeze screen or counter glass for a bakery or sweet shop?

Yes. It is made-to-size glass, so we measure your counter first. Tell us the length, the height and how the glass should be held. We make display shelves and mirrors the same way. The glass takes a few days to make. We fit it outside your selling hours.

Will you work in our restaurant at night or on a Sunday?

Yes, if you ask when you enquire. Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm. Restaurants can ask for night or Sunday work, so service is not interrupted. Tell us when your last guest leaves and when the kitchen starts. We plan the visit between the two.
