A uPVC sliding window has two or three shutters that slide past each other inside a rigid plastic frame. uPVC does not rust, rot or need paint. Its shutters close onto soft seals that keep out dust and rain. We make each window to the opening we measure, take the old window out, and fit the new one with our own team. 2-track or 3-track: uPVC sliding windows with mosquito mesh
A 2-track window has two glass shutters, each on its own track. Half the window opens at a time. It is the simplest build, and the starting rate is for this one.
A 3-track window adds a third track for a mosquito mesh shutter. The mesh slides the same way the glass does. In the evening you can slide the glass open and leave the mesh shut, so air comes in and mosquitoes do not.
The mesh is a shutter of its own. If it tears in a few years, it can be re-meshed without touching the glass or the frame.
A third track makes the frame deeper. We check at the measuring visit that your wall has the depth to take it. Where it does not, we tell you, and we can fit a separate mesh on the inside instead.
Replacing old wooden, steel or aluminium windows with uPVC
A wooden window swells in the rains and has to be painted. A steel window rusts along its bottom edge. An old aluminium slider rattles and lets dust in around the shutters. A new uPVC window is the usual answer to all three, because there is nothing in it to rust, swell or repaint.
The old shutters and the old frame are taken out on the fitting day and carried away. The new frame is fixed into the opening, packed level, and sealed to the wall all round. A frame that is not level makes shutters that roll open on their own, so this step is never rushed.
Taking a frame out marks the plaster around it. We fill and seal the edges. Replastering a damaged wall and painting are not our work, so plan your painter for after the windows, not before.
Safety grills, glass and wood finishes
A safety grill can be fitted with the window. Tell us when you enquire, because the grill and the frame are planned together. A grill added later has to be fixed around a window that was not made for it.
Clear glass is the standard choice. Toughened glass, which is safety glass, is available, and it is worth choosing on a large window or one that is low enough for a child to reach.
White is the standard colour. uPVC also comes in wood finishes, for a house where white frames would look out of place. A wood finish costs more than white.

uPVC sliding window price per sq ft, and what changes it
The rate starts at ₹550 per sq ft, fitted, before GST. That is for a standard 2-track window in white with clear glass. A window 4 ft wide and 4 ft high is 16 sq ft, so it starts at ₹8,800.
Five things move the rate up. A third track with a mosquito mesh shutter. A safety grill. Toughened glass. A wood finish. And a window wide enough to need three or four shutters.
Size is measured at your home, not taken from a drawing. The fixing, the delivery and the fitting day cost about the same on a small window as on a large one. So the rate is for a normal room window and up. A small bathroom window is quoted as a job.
You get a written price after the measuring visit, before anything is ordered. It lists each window by size, with the mesh, grill and glass on their own lines.
